Moving to a new home is always an exciting time.
New surroundings, new sights and sounds, and, of course, a new bed. I so love a new bed, all the stuffing a fluff. Getting it ready to snuggle into, making it as comfy as possible.
This new home I moved into today seems lovelier than ever. Tall glass windows on all sides, and the most luscious cedar floors. Just breathing in fills me with all the new opportunities I might get to be a part of in a new place. There’s no bed yet, but it should be here soon, I’m sure.
My last home was so drab and dark, little more than a box with a few holes on the side. Blank walls that I could barely see out of, the quality of cardboard. And terribly noisy. I could never relax there, the whole place shook half the time.
I used to think, if I could just move somewhere new, if I could just get into a place with more light and more air, then my life would really start. And here I am, today, is this amazing new place. The sun shines in from all sides, and, what’s more, I’m not alone! I’m going to have a roommate, judging by the rest of the furnishings, including the rock at the other end of the tank, and the sun lamp above it.
Oh, look, here they come now! I love it when they lift the lid off and the outside air comes in for a moment. It brings such an air of change to the room, and jostles the cedar chips a bit.
My new roommate has been placed on his run rock, and is slithering toward me now. I sure hope he loves our new home as much as I do!
